Integrated and Compassionate Counselling

Healing isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about gently reconnecting with the parts of yourself that have been carrying too much for too long.

Healing begins with attention. Notice your body that holds your memories, the thoughts that replay old stories, the feelings that have been pushed to the edges. Naming them.. exhaustion, shame, fear, grief, guilt takes power away from their secrecy and begins to loosen their grip.

Gentleness is the method. You don’t force change; you invite it. Small practices keep the invitation simple. For example, pausing to breathe, placing a hand on your chest, allowing a feeling to be present without fixing it, saying to yourself, “I see you.” Over time, these small acts of kindness toward yourself create new patterns of safety. Isn’t that what we all want?

Reconnection is relational. It asks you to listen to the wise, wounded parts and to offer them what they needed but didn’t receive — comfort, boundaries, honest company. This might mean setting limits, asking for support, grieving losses that were never mourned, or learning to hold anger as a signal rather than a fault.

Integration, not erasure, is the goal. The experiences that shaped you remain part of your story, but they no longer run the show. As you reclaim capacity, you’ll find more space for curiosity, creativity, and steady presence. Healing doesn’t finish you; it steadies you so you can be fully who you already are.

BOOK WITH DEEP KAUR

1:1 Counselling

Integrative counselling with Deep Kaur (MBACP) — blending Western and Eastern approaches.

What is Counselling?

Individual counselling offers a confidential, supportive space to explore what’s happening in your life and what you need moving forward. I work holistically, recognising that each person embodies a distinct blend of mind, body, and consciousness — and that lasting change often happens when we gently bring awareness to all three.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I work in line with the BACP Ethical Framework, prioritising safety, clarity, and respect throughout our work together. I can be found on the BACP register using my membership number 416092 for reassurance.

What Counselling Can Help With

People come to counselling for many reasons — including anxiety, low mood, stress and burnout, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, identity and self-esteem, trauma responses, life transitions, or feeling “stuck” in repeating patterns.

Counselling is not about being given a quick solution or being told what to do. It’s a relational process — a steady, collaborative space where we can make sense of your experiences, explore what’s beneath the surface, and develop insight and practical ways forward that feel aligned with you.

Couples Counselling

I offer couples counselling in a calm, supportive space where you can both feel heard and begin to understand each other more deeply. Together, we explore communication patterns, emotional needs, and how family, culture, and life experiences shape your relationship. We move beyond attachment styles formed in early development to examine how they influence current relational patterns. My approach is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and anti-oppressive; where meaningful to you, we can gently draw on Gurmat values to foster understanding, respect, and reconnection.
